Its still a great plugin despite being so ridiculously old (by modern standards). Not only am I an ‘industry veteran’ engineer from the ’80s, who spent more hours behind E and G series SSL consoles than I’d like to remember, I also previously owned an SSL Duende DSP FireWire box, which was then upgraded to the Duende Native v5 plug-ins.

If you have purchased the unit with the full 32chips inside, dont you think its a little f up that they charge £200 to allow you the privalage to use it. So Ive been using the Waves SSL channel for a long time. The latest Native 6.3 release from Solid State Logic introduces the new ‘X-EQ 2’ plugin as part of the SSL Native studio plugins series, while providing all users authorization of SSL Native licenses onto a computer instead of a physical iLok dongle. Has anyone heard of a way to hack the Solid State Logic Duende to allow the use of all 32 DSP chips.
